Job Opening!!! – Soil Lab Technician
at our soil and mulch facility in Quarryville, PA.
$14.00 – $16.00

Job Summary:

Assist the Quality and Compliance Manager in conducting/reporting of soil testing and recommend any process improvements.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the organizations goal of improving manufacturing quality and efficiency by conducting inspections, assessing the results and the manufacturing process, and proposing improvements based on the findings.
  • Maintains systems to report test results and findings to superiors and stakeholders.
  • Continually seeks areas and processes that can be streamlined to produce cost savings.
  • Identifies and recommends new techniques that could improve efficiency and quality.
  • Coordinates with Quality Engineers and Planners to ensure manufacturing issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Run multiple tests including moisture and chemical analysis tests
  • Assist in grow out experiments
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:  

  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of inspection and testing principles and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in a related field

Job Opening!!! –Manufacturing Supervisor – Weekend Shift (Thursday-Sunday)
at our soil and mulch facility in Quarryville, PA.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work of employees in the Manufacturing facility.
Supervisory Duties
• Coordinates and develops training programs
• Oversees the daily workflow and scheduling of the department.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Participate in the interview process
• Works with HR to handle any employee relations situations in accordance with company policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures safe operation of equipment
• Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
• Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify processes and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Associates degree or comparable experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least three years of experience in a related area with supervisory experience preferred.
• Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to physically operate equipment.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
